Today Jack’s Corner had the pleasure to take a road trip. My daughter her best friend and I headed out to Georgia this morning. We went to Adel Georgia and here we delivered some clothes, accessories, children’s toys and a whole lot more to a small town who were the victims of a horrific tornado.
This tornado ripped through their town on January 22, 2017 and I can’t describe in words what we saw today. Actually what we saw today was what was left after their clean up. My photos compared to their photos on their FB page doesn’t even come close. You can view their photos at http://www.facebook/AdelTornadoRelief/
All in all today was a very positive day. I met a couple from The Adel Church Of God, their names were Joe and Sherry. I also met another lady who brought me to this church from The Boys and Girls Club of Adel. I have to apologize because I go caught up in the moment and did not get her name, I wish I did… So today was a day to have a chance to give back to families who need it. Something I set out to do when I created Jack’s Corner. It also was a great way to teach our kids how to give back to those who need it, the gift of giving. We are so very fortunate to have what we have. You never know, one day you may wake up and have absolutely nothing….So keep the gift of giving going as much as possible. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook at Jack’s Corner https://www.facebook.com/frommychildtoyours/ here you will be able to see more photos of the destruction…. Thank you to my daughter and her best friend. I’m so glad we could make this trip together and share this experience.
